Alphatec is perhaps unique as a provider of
software and associated support. In 1997, it was the company selected to
provide 24-hour technical support for one of the most business critical
functions in the financial sector – cheque clearing. It now supports 40% of
the UK’s daily cheque clearing operation.
The company was founded in 1996 and has been providing consultancy,
development and live-system support for several major banks since its
inception. It was listed in the Sunday Times TechTrack 100 for two years in
succession, and has built international partnerships with Fiserv
Incorporated and Metavante Corporation in the USA.
